Located inside the Tannery Digital Media and Creative Arts Center, the Tannery World Dance & Cultural Center is a nonprofit arts organization established to support world & contemporary dance artists, foster cultural awareness, produce collaborative & engaging performance opportunities, and to foster accessible dance to all youth in the Santa Cruz community. Our 1,621 sq. ft. dance hub can be used for informal performances, rehearsals, workshops, artistic and cultural events.

Principal Dancer with Garth Fagan Dance for 15 years, Micha Scott will lead students through a strong, foundational Modern Technique. This class focuses on developing students strength, flexibility, musicality, and understanding of Modern technique. Intermediate/Advanced students.

Creative Dance for 2 to 4 year olds
Creative Dance for 2 to 4 year olds classes are held Wednesdays from 1:00 - 1:45
It is $42 for a 6 week series ($7 per class). **Students who sign up for series classes will learn a simple routine which will be performed outside of regular class time at the end of the session. These "mini-recitals" are usually held on the weekend following the
session end. Family and friends are invited to watch the performance!

on the Tannery Arts Center campus. Kids will experience dance immersion in a fun, structured, and exciting artistic atmosphere.

This is an opportunity to develop your body feeling for and rapport with cubanía. We will do so together through son montuno, songo and timba, three of the most influential popular-music genres of contemporary Cuban social dancing. For beginners to experienced dancers. $12
