Located inside the Tannery Digital Media and Creative Arts Center, the Tannery World Dance & Cultural Center is a nonprofit arts organization established to support world & contemporary dance artists, foster cultural awareness, produce collaborative & engaging performance opportunities, and to foster accessible dance to all youth in the Santa Cruz community. Our 1,621 sq. ft. dance hub can be used for informal performances, rehearsals, workshops, artistic and cultural events.

Summer DanceArts Intensive
June 19th - August 2nd

Kids will experience dance
immersion in a fun, structured,
and exciting artistic atmosphere.
Under the artistic direction of
Micha Scott, former senior dancer
with Garth Fagan Dance, TWDCC
is proud to host a pre-professional
dance camp in the heart of Santa Cruz! 

Guest teachers from dance genres
including: African dance & drum,
flamenco, ballet, Bollywood, hip
hop, ZUMBA for kids, Polynesian,
and more.

Your child will experience the
arts through modern and world
dance forms, learn repertory,
performance development, and
the dance connection to the wider
world around them. Playground &
lunch time, dance history,
nutrition, and visits to local
museums and artist’s studios on
the Tannery Arts Center campus.

Afro-House Hop Santa Cruz

With roots in underground dance culture, AfroHouseHop builds on the stylistic forms of Pan-African dance, the soul of deep House and the momentum of Hip-Hop. This unique blend of movement explores the foundations of House dance, which includes choreography and a freestyle component.
